"Not without my daughter",by Betty Mahmoody.

Betty Mahmoody and her husband and their four-year-old daughter Mahtob came to Iran to meet his family. she has soon seen enough and wants to return to the USA, but her husband and his family have other plans. She and her daughter become prisoners of an alien culture, hostages of an increasingly tyrannical and violent man. Betty tries to arrange an escape, but every scheme that is suggested means leaving behind her daughter.
